Spring Break

How's Your Spring Break?

I hope you are all having an entertaining vacation. I have been savoring every second of it. Some of the things I did included celebrating a holiday called Passover with my family. We ate scrumptious food and spent hours conversing about many different topics.

I have also been pretty busy watching these guys...

Four Boxers is very time consuming. Since they enjoy chewing my shoes, I have had to be very careful to not leave them unattended!

What have you been doing over your vacation? Did you celebrate any holidays? Have you had a chance to see any of your friends over the break?

Write 3 to 5 sentences telling us about your vacation. How many high vocabulary words can you use?

    we had Russia Pasha.
On Sunday l went to a Pasha party where we made barbecue with our family friends.

  3. Dear Leo Carillo,
I have had many adventures during spring break. My first adventure was celebrating a holiday called Passover. My caring grandparents had a unique, special seder. Next, my thoughtful great aunt held a glamouring seder. Third, I had many play dates with my friends. I had joyful play dates with Sophia N, Jalyn, Ella, and Leah. I also had a special sleepover at my grandma's house. Then I went to Starbucks with my other grandma. I also had a special dinner with my parents at Ruth Cris. Lastly, I went to the Getty Villa with my mom. We went to see the art and gardens first. After that, we had a ravishing meal called tea by the sea. My favorite thing there was the salami, cheese, pesto sauce, and sour dough sandwich.
As you can see, I had a very busy break.
    From,
    Zoe

    1. Dear Zoe,
I enjoyed reading about how you kept yourself busy over break. What made your grandparent's seder so unique? Does your family hide an afikomen? That was always my favorite part of our seder when I was a kid. If so, did you find the afikomen and receive a prize?

      The afikomen champion,
      Mrs. B

  4. Dear Room 9,
Over Spring Break I watched television and played sports. Thursday night that all changed. At 10:00 pm, my parents said’’ tomorrow we are going to our condo in Palm Desert." My family had lots of fun at Palm Desert, doing things like swimming and relaxing.
Saturday night we went to bed excited to go on Sunday's field trip with our class. Sunday morning I was ecstatic to go on the field trip. I got ready to go so speedily that we went even earlier than we planned. The hike was super fun and adventurous. Tank was so cute. I was astonished that Tank could drink water from a bottle.. My favorite part of the hike was creeping through the Indian Cave. Spring Break ended with some nice sleep. 2015’s Spring Break was awesome!

    Sincerely,
    Tyler
