Our Punctuation Creation

In class we have been learning about the four different sentences and the punctuation marks that are used for each type.

We used strong vocabulary to name our sentences. Today in class we made an educreations together to demonstrate our learning. Check it out.

We also talked about how great comments usually end with an interrogative sentence. This gives other bloggers an opportunity to respond back to you!

Can you write a comment about your favorite type of sentence?

Tell me why it's your favorite type of sentence. Provide an example. Be sure to use strong vocabulary when naming your sentence. Also use the correct punctuation marks!!! Try ending your comment with an interrogative sentence so someone can respond to you!

My favorite kind of sentence is an imperative sentence. It's my favorite because I get to tell somebody what to do, like "Go to the naughty corner!!".

I am so impressed with your riddle solving skills. I am going sailing on the three day weekend. Are you camping at Carpinteria? What is your favorite camping activity? I love snuggling up by the fire and warming up just before I got to sleep.

  3. My favorite kind of sentence is Interrogative because I like to ask questions. Can I have ice cream? What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

  4. Ben,
Since I am quiet curious, I like interrogative sentences too! My favorite flavor of ice cream is vanilla. I especially like vanilla ice cream over warm pie or chocolate chip cookies. Sometimes I even dip my french fries in my vanilla ice cream! Don't say it's gross until you've tried it! Do you ever put ice cream over your dessert?

  5. Dear Mrs. Broussard and Class,
My favorite type of sentence is an exclamatory sentence. The reason it is my favorite is because it shows excitement! I think exclamatory sentences are unique because they can show someone’s emotions. Here’s an example, I’m so excited to go to Hawaii! What other examples of an exclamatory sentence can anyone else share?

Feel free to answer any of these examples of interrogative sentences: Why did you feed the kitten your ice cream? How do you ride a bike? What did the tree do in the Fall? Do you like chocolate? Can a butterfly swim?

My favorite type of sentence is the exclamatory sentence because I like to share when I am excited about something. For example, when I catch a fish, I say "Hook Up!". Or when I cheer for my baseball team we say "1, 2, 3, Red Socks!" and throw our hands in the air after!.

I love the way you described an exclamatory sentence. I agree, exclamatory sentences are great because they can express your thoughts! My puppies are not sleeping. Instead, they are trying to eat a cardboard box. Jordyn, do you have any pets? Would you like pets?

    1. Dear Raana,
How exciting! Where is your grandma from? My grandmother lives in Belgium. I don't get to see her that often, but when I do, I love spending time cooking and reading with her. In Belgium, chocolate chip cookies are not very common, so when I visit her I always pack a bag of mini chocolate chips. We bake dozens of cookies over the course of my stay there. Do you bake with your grandmother?
      Curiously,
      Mrs. B

    2. Dear Mrs. Broussard,
I actually do bake with my grandmother, I bake yummy cookies. If you really want to know where my grandmother lives she lives all the way in Australia. I have been to Australia when I was about three or four years old but I have forgotten what it looks like.
