As a class we have been working on other ways to help us remember the facts. One excellent way is by rehearsing a catchy song or rhyme.

ReplyDeleteI prefer using a multiplication machine to practice my multiplication facts because it does not give you the answer right away. This is better because this way, I can find out the answer by myself. I think that multiplication is important because it helps you do math and it helps you count things faster. Also, it can help you figure out a problem like this: “there are 2 wheels on one bike and there are 4 bikes, how many wheels are there in all? What is the answer?

I think its important to learn multiplication because it takes less time to find the answer, known as the product. How you do memorize your multiplication facts?

ReplyDeleteLately, I have not had trouble with my 3 times table, so I prefer practicing my multiplication facts by rapping. Rapping is the clearest song, out of the three, to understand. Also, it has a catchy beat that is simple to remember.
I think multiplication is very important to learn because you need it to figure out problems for your daily life. For example, you need multiplication to find out how many apples you want to buy at the market for your birthday party, and how many pairs of socks you need for two weeks at sleep away camp.
What is the easiest multiplication times table in your opinion?

DeleteI think the easiest time table is zero because the answer is always 0. That is my opinion. I think the second easiest is the one time table because the answer is always the same number. Thank you for asking your interesting question.

ReplyDeleteI prefer using flashcards to practice multiplication. They help me notice patterns of numbers so I can memorize the facts. Flashcards also help me skip count to figure out the multiplication fact. Multiplication is important to learn because it helps you figure out large numbers and equations more easily.

ReplyDeleteI prefer using multiplication games because I look at it as a game, not math. It is much more exciting. I think multiplication is important because you will use it often in life. For instance, you can use that skill to figure out how much money you make in a business. Would you rather use multiplication games or use flash cards to learn how to multiply?

ReplyDeleteI agree! Rapping is definitely the way I like to memorize multiplication facts. I also use another strategy. I like to do Repeated Addition to figure out the multiplication question as well. Happy multiplying!

ReplyDeleteI always practice with my Dad in the car. He starts with high numbers and then goes to low numbers. I also use the plastic practice sheet. It is important to learn multiplication because we apply it every day in life.
